Treatment
Eliza draws on a range of evidence-based therapies to tailor treatment to each client’s individual needs, goals, and ways of understanding themselves. Her approach is collaborative, flexible, and grounded in a strong therapeutic relationship.
She works primarily from the following models:
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Schema Therapy
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Eliza integrates these approaches based on your unique presentation and preferences, creating a space that is both practical and reflective, supporting symptom relief, deeper self-understanding, and lasting personal growth.
Working with creatives & artists
Eliza is passionate about working with creatives and artists. With a background in theatre she understands that life in the arts can be both rewarding and challenging. Training, rehearsals, auditions, unstable work, and performances place unique demands on artists and can bring added pressures around perfectionism, uncertainty, and identity.
With a professional background in the arts and current doctoral research into theatre techniques in trauma treatment, Eliza offers a deep understanding of the creative industry and the realities of training. So specialised treatment for artists, performers, and creative professionals is available and may include support navigating:
Anxiety, stress, or burnout
Perfectionism and self-criticism
Creative blocks or performance pressure
Trauma, grief, or life transitions
Relationship and interpersonal challenges
The therapy style is reflective, relational, and evidence based. Eliza draws on EMDR, schema therapy, DBT, and cognitive approaches, tailoring each session to your needs and goals.
